MGMR is versatile intracellular delivery vehicle, consisting of a dispersion of hollow, nanoscale tubules approximately 1/10,000th the width of a human hair.
TEM Micrograph of MGMR on copper substrate
The high aspect-ratio, nanoscale profile of MGMR allows it to readily penetrate cells without compromising membrane integrity or inducing cytotoxicity. Its high surface-to-volume ratio and tunable surface chemistry allow it to readily transport both small and large-molecular cargos into the cytoplasm, including oligonucleotides, peptides, proteins and genetic materials, vector and genetic materials.
